Where do you start in describing the unlimited photographic opportunities in Alaska? This is a state that has wild areas still un-explored and offering unique photos. In the Juneau to Sitka ferry trip, it is amazing what is waiting to be explored. Mendenhall Glacier is magnificent but unfortunately melting at a rapid rate. I hope to explore it more.
Kodiak, formerly Paul’s Harbor, is the main city and one of seven communities on Kodiak Island.
Juneau is known for featuring the stunning Mendenhall Glacier and is near Glacier Bay Park. Juneau has a serene and peaceful atmosphere where they admire the beauty of nature. It is colorful and is surrounded by the sea and steep cliffs and is thus only accessible by boat or plane. The journey from Juneau to Sika by car ferry took over 5 hours but the day was beautiful, the scenery was spectacular, and the trip was relaxing.
